The fall transition is in full swing on Lake Vermilion and the fishing could not be better. Cooler water temps have the walleyes feeding aggressively.

**Current Conditions**
Water temperature has dropped to 55F and the fish are on the move. The fall feedbag is on and walleyes are packing on weight for winter. Expect excellent fishing through October.

**Hot Spots**
– Pike Bay: Points and reefs holding schools of walleyes
– Frazer Bay: Deep humps producing trophy-sized fish
– Wakemup Narrows: Current areas holding active feeders

**Guide Tip**
Now is the time for jigging minnows. The walleyes are keying on baitfish and a 1/8 oz jig with a fathead minnow is deadly.
